This 6 hour basic pistol course is a detailed course includes both lecture, hands-on and range time. It is intended for all individuals regardless of experience. We will provide classroom materials, firearms and is a Virginia CCW Permit course.
Course topics will include:
- Handgun safety rules
- Ammunition knowledge and selection
- Pistol inspection and maintenance
- Pistol selection and storage
- Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols
- Shooting Fundamentals
- Marksmanship
- Shooting range safety
More Details:
- NO LIVE AMMO IS PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM.
- LIVE AMMO WILL BE USED ONLY AT THE RANGE DURING LIVE FIRE EXERCISE.
- All students must notify the instructor if they bring their own gun before the class starts.
- All firearms must be cased & unloaded!
- Pricing does not include ammunition and applicable the Range fees of $15 - $35. You will need 50-100 rounds ammunition (9mm if you use our gun). This can be purchased at the Range.
- If you do not have a firearm, no problem. We will bring an assortment you may use at no charge.
